Bridging Summer and Back to School with PreK12Plaza

It’s that time of year again…..back to school! While we’re all busy getting ready to head back to the classroom, even here in Georgia some students have already gone back, it’s still summer! My family doesn’t begin our homeschool year again until the first week in September. During these last weeks of summer break I want to help them to review, and remember what they learned the previous school year. No matter what, if students don’t engage in educational activities and programs while they’re out of school, they’ll experience summer learning loss. The Department of Education estimates that our children loose 25% of what they’ve learned previously during summer vacation. Teachers spend the first 4-6 weeks of the school year re-teaching materials that children have forgotten. 

I want my kids and yours to be ready for the new school year! This summer we’ve taken the Summer Victory Challenge over on PreK12Plaza. Summer Victory Activities are fun and engaging and you can easily enroll each of your children for free. There are various activities for all subjects and grade levels. I really like the activities for homeschool, not just for summer but during the entire school year.
