Five Ways to Enjoy a Summer Picnic with Family 

Recently my family headed to a ranch here in Georgia to spend a relaxing and tranquil weekend among nature. It was about an hours drive from our home, so I packed all of the essentials we would need to enjoy a hot summer day and picnic. The ranch home we stayed in had a beautiful lake directly out front. It was a great opportunity for me to enjoy some delicious Starbucks Iced Coffee and watch my kiddos catch a few fish. I’m looking forward to having another one of these summer picnic’s with my family before the season is over! 

Relax – Bring a blanket, Starbucks Iced Coffee and your favorite book to read while the children are playing. I like to take a few minutes to breath while the kids are occupied with an activity.  

Join in the Fun – I tried my hand at fishing, even though I’m not that good at it. My boys can teach me a thing or two about casting a fishing rod and reeling in a big catch. It’s always fun to try out whatever the kids are doing and enjoy our time as a family. 

Eat Your Favorite Finger Foods – Pack up some fruit or sandwiches that you can grab quickly. Since summer days are hot, you don’t need a lot of food that can spoil outdoors. 

Sunscreen & Bug Repellent – It’s pretty difficult to enjoy the outdoors without protecting your skin. Applying sunscreen on your entire family will shield everyone’s skin from harmful UV rays and sunburn. Bug Repellent will allow you to enjoy your picnic longer without being bothered by pests. Mosquito’s are relentless during the summer. 

Starbucks Iced Coffee – Bring your favorite Starbucks Iced Coffee found at your local grocer to enjoy during the picnic. Starbucks Iced Coffee allows me to have my relaxing adult moment while the children are busy at play. I love all the new flavors for the summer like the new S’mores and Mocha Coconut Frappuccino’s. These Starbucks Iced Coffee’s have gotten me through my summer and I don’t have to run out to a Starbucks location every time I want to enjoy them. I’ve been keeping a stash of them in the fridge to pour over ice in my cold cup to sip whenever I like. It’s perfect for my afternoon “me time.”

We had a beautiful weekend and I enjoyed savoring different delicious iced coffee flavors!
