Girls Weekend in the Mazda 6

Recently BabyCake and I had a girls only weekend at the Atlanta Marriott Alpharetta! If you missed it, you can check out all of the deets HERE. I drove the all new 2016 Mazda6 i Grand Touring. The Mazda6 was named a Top Safety Pick for 2015 as well as Car and Driver 10 Best of the year.

This midsize sedan has room to seat 5 people comfortably. It’s the perfect car for those who want something with a more sporty edge, but great for everyday driving and use. The Mazda6 gets an impressive 40 mpg on the highway. The Atlanta Marriott Alpharetta is about an hour from my house, and I drove on the same tank of gas for an entire week. 

 BabyCake was happy to have the entire backseat to herself. Plus she strapped in all of her teddy bears and dolls for the ride.

 The Mazda6 has a very spacious trunk space. We were able to fit everything from the weekend with room to spare. 

The Mazda6 has several great features to enhance your driving experience. The Mazda Radar Cruise Control allows you to keep a safe distance between yourself and the vehicle in front of you. It controls the engine and brakes to prevent accidents and sudden stops. It’s the best for long drives and road trips. 

The Smart City Break Support utilizes the same technology as the cruise control, but it kicks into gear when you are driving between 3 and 18 mph. If the Mazda6 senses there is an unavoidable collision ahead, the breaks will be automatically applied.

 Another feature I really appreciated was the adaptive front lighting. While heading out to Alpharetta, there was a thunderstorm the entire way and it was dark. The Adaptive Front Lighting System assisted in providing me better visibility around curves and turns and I was able to arrive at my destination safely.
