Shades of Me Doll Collection Review 

We love the Shades of Me Doll Collection! These beautiful dolls are handmade by 6 year old Journe and her mom Laurie who also recently appeared on Lifetime’s Project Runway. Each doll is made with love and care, and lots of attention to detail. There are four dolls in the collection, each made in a different shade. The Coco doll is Journee, the Mocha doll is Makayla, the Caramel doll is Alivia, and the Coco & Vanilla doll is Aubrey. 

BabyCake decided on the Caramel doll, Alivia. She came packaged in a beautiful silver organza storage bag. Each doll is dressed in a removable tutu and ballerina slippers. As you can see below, there is a lot of attention paid to the dolls features and it’s hand crafted carefully. I love handmade dolls and one of a kind items. 

Each doll comes with tags describing a little about herself and her dreams and aspirations. This really encourages girls to think about her own goals and fosters confidence. 

There is even a hand written sweet note from 6 year old Journe herself. It’s beautiful to see a girl create toys for other children with such passion and enthusiasm.

Every order also comes complete with a framed inspirational quote for girls to hang or place where she wishes to encourage her to be great. 

I really like that once the doll is purchased, if there is any wear and tear we can send our doll back in for free fix-ups. Our Shades of Me Doll is already well loved, so we may need to utilize this service later.
